The beginning of our story goes back to 1975. That year our predecessor who was Grant’s Mechanical Inc. opened for business in Fargo, ND. At that time services offered were sheet metal and ventilation only. In 1987 a commercial/industrial pipefitting division was created. In 1994 a commercial plumbing division was added.
In 2018 after 43 years of operation, a transition in ownership took place. The new and current owners are Blake Wrigley, Drew Wrigley and Tanya Wrigley-Lingle. The name has been changed to BDT Mechanical LLC. With a long history of providing mechanical contracting services in the area BDT is committed to continuing the high level of service that it has been performing for years.
1975
Grant Johnson left his job at a local mechanical construction firm and started on his dream, Grant’s Mechanical Inc. Where he started small, working as a commercial sheet metal and ventilation contractor.
1978
Howard and Blake Wrigley were inspired and left the same local mechanical construction firm to start, Wrigley Mechanical Inc. There they worked as an industrial piping and plumbing mechanical contractor.
1975 - 1987
Grant’s Mechanical Inc. and Wrigley Mechanical Inc. started working together frequently on different projects, combining their ventilation and piping/plumbing trades.
1987
Grant’s Mechanical Inc. created a commercial piping division, including in-house welding.
1994
Grant’s Mechanical Inc. created a commercial plumbing division with a master plumber, with decades of experience.
2006
Grant’s Mechanical Inc. opened the doors to their Jamestown, ND branch. Providing the local area with commercial mechanical construction services.
2018
Grant’s Mechanical Inc. was sold to Blake, Drew, and Tanya Wrigley-Lingle. Together they ran and operated it as an independent shop.
2020
Grant’s Mechanical Inc. becomes BDT Mechanical LLC and moves into a new office and shop facility in the Fargo Industrial Park.
